Multi-faith Ramadan Harmony Dinner

Muslims hosted members of other faith communities at a multi-faith Ramadan Iftar harmony dinner on May 28 at the Japanese Cultural Centre in Toronto.

The inaugural multi-faith iftar was hosted by Embrace Islamic Society who stated purpose is ‘to practice and share the values of Islam by providing religious, educational and recreational facilities for members of the public. Our vision is a community where members of diverse faiths enjoy their freedom of belief and practice, and are committed to the dignity of every human being.’

The keynote speeches were delivered by Keith Neuman, Executive Director of Environics Institute and Imam Michael Taylor, Regional Chaplain at Correctional Service Canada.
