Muslim Welfare Canada to build long-term care facility
Muslim Welfare Canada (MWC) is building 192 beds Long Term Care Facility which will provide long term care facilities to those in need.
With Canada’s senior population set to double by 2046 and thousands waiting for long-term care, MWC is embarking on an ambitious project to build a 192-bed long-term care facility in Courtice, Ontario.
Muslim Welfare Canada’s Long-Term Care program will embody the Islamic tenet of honoring and caring for the elderly, according to the organization.
"This initiative will offer a dignified and respectful environment where senior members of the Muslim community can receive the care and support they need," says MWC. "Focused on holistic well-being, our program ensures that spiritual, physical, and emotional needs are met with kindness and expertise."
"By integrating cultural sensitivity and Islamic values into our care, we will provide a comforting space that feels like home, where elders can thrive in their golden years surrounded by community."
