Muslim woman threatened with knife in Toronto subway

On March 9th, a young Muslim woman was riding Toronto's subway near the Vaughan area when a man pulled a knife on her.

He followed her into the train and asked her questions about her faith. She wears the hijab, or Muslim headscarf.

He then asked, "What would you do if someone hit you over the head?" and "You know what we do with people like you?"And pulled out a large knife from his backpack and started approaching the young Muslim woman.

She ran down the train, across several carts, until a bystander pulled the emergency alarm. Police have been alerted.
