Eid al-Adha to be celebrated on Wednesday, June 28 2023
According to the Islamic authorities in Makkah and the Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) has announced that the first day of Dhul Hijjah will be on June 19.
The Day of Arafah will be on Tuesday, June 27, and Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, God willing.
During the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims are reminded of their importance in the Islamic teachings. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that no other days hold greater value for performing good deeds in the sight of Allah than these ten days. He also emphasized the significance of the Day of Arafah, stating that fasting on this day can expiate sins from the previous and upcoming year.
Let us all make the most of these special and significant days by prioritizing acts of worship, engaging in good deeds, and practicing generosity for the sake of Allah.
