Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick awarded Lifetime Achievement Award
The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) has awarded Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick a Lifetime Achievement Award at their recently concluded convention that took place from September 2nd to 4th, 2023 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
"It is an honour to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award from Muslim Association of Canada. I thank Allah first and then my wife, family and the community for enabling me to do what I have done for the Muslims of Canada. May Allah forgive me for my shortcomings and reward me for whatever good I have done. And may Allah continue to bless and protect the Muslims of Canada and the entire world. Ameen!" said Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick.
Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick is an eminent Muslim scholar and historian, world traveler and religious leader, having accomplished a lifetime's worth of achievements spanning many continents while enlightening the lives of millions.
He was born in the United States of America and accepted Islam in Canada in 1970. He pursued his study of Islam at the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia where he graduated and received an Ijaza from the College of Da’wah and Islamic Sciences in 1979, one of the first two students to do so from the West.
He later completed a Master’s Degree and a Doctorate in African History at the University of Toronto in Canada.
Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick has served as Imam, missionary, teacher, counselor and media consultant in the USA, Canada, South Africa and the West Indies. He is currently a senior lecturer with the Islamic Institute of Toronto and the outreach coordinator with the Canadian Council of Imams.
