Halifax mosque hosts leaders at annual Iftar
Halifax Ummah Mosque and Community Center hosted provincial and federal leaders, including the province's Lieutenant Governor and Premier, and a federal minister and other dignitaries at an Iftar.
"We had the pleasure of hosting many leaders and friends at the Annual Ramadan Iftar at Ummah Mosque and Community Center in Halifax," said Ummah Mosque and Community Center.
"It was a celebration of the spirit of Ramadan with the presence of their Honours The Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, the Queen's representative, Honourable Arthur Joseph LeBlanc, the Honourable Mrs. Pasty LeBlanc, Minister of Immigration Sean Fraser, Premiere of Nova Scotia Tim Houston, MP Honourable Lena Metlege, MP Andy Fillmore, Minister Jill Balser, NS MLAs Hon. Iain Rankin Rankin, Angela Simmonds, Ali Duale, Chief Dan Kinsella, Chief Ken Stuebing, U.S. Consul General Lyra Carr, and many leaders and government officials.
