Muslim organization raises $100K for Princess Margaret Hospital
The Faith of Life Network has donated $100K to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation to support cancer research and care at the top Toronto hospital.
“Alhamdulillah, we have fulfilled our pledge today of $100K to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation,” said Dr. Hamid Slimi, Dr. Hamid Slimi is the founder of Faith of Life Network, Imam & Resident Scholar of Sayeda Khadija Centre. “On behalf of our generous donors and wonderful volunteers, myself and Br. Asim Malik had the honour of delivering the cheque to the foundation and present it to its president Mr. Paul Alofs and his team.
“Special and warm thanks to Sayeda Khadija Centre Congregation, Faith of Life Network supporters and volunteers and Canadian Centre For Deen Studies Students,” added Dr. Hamid Slimi. “We did it by the Grace of the Almighty.”
The mission of the Faith of Life Network is ‘to promote the positive value of Islam for Muslims and non-Muslims alike in Canada and around the world, by building communities through shared religious observance, quality educational programs, mutual support and networking, and service to humanity.”
The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation expressed its appreciation for the generosity of the Muslim community.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation began raising funds for cancer research at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in 1982, and since then has raised well over $1 billion for this world-leading centre.
