IQRA, the Canadian Muslim Journal, is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and published by the Zanna Group.

It provides an ethical perspective with a Muslim focus on current events and contemporary issues and aims to attract ‘people who reflect’.

Managing Editor: Muneeb Nasir is a prominent Canadian Muslim community leader, writer, and interfaith activist based in Toronto. For over two decades, he has championed civic engagement, philanthropy, and cross-cultural dialogue.

As Chair of the Olive Tree Foundation and Executive Director of the Cordoba Centre, he spearheads local community development, civic training, and vital social justice campaigns.

Nasir is the founder and Managing Editor of IQRA.ca, a leading Canadian Muslim online magazine. An influential voice in interfaith relations, he is the former Co-Chair of the National Muslim Christian Liaison Committee and pioneered a landmark Indigenous-Muslim Forum to foster deep community reconciliation.

As a long-standing religious leader, Nasir has authored two impactful books: Sacred Insights and his latest release, Living Faith in the Public Square: Deepening Faith, Broadening Horizons. The latter draws from decades of experience to explore identity, pluralism, and civic responsibility in the modern Western world.
